a couple more comments...
first, we should change our strategy after scoring the first goal. from now on, we shouldn't push up in search of a second, but put ten men behind the ball and defend like our lives depend on it. our attack is just too unreliable and inconsistent to be expected to score a second should they draw level, and so we should bring back the catennaccio just for this season.

second, i do not care to see gilardino in a milan shirt ever again. i cannot remember the last time he played like it meant anything to him, maybe it was the first game against lazio, but if a player like paolo maldini cannot inspire you to perform for this shirt, then you don't deserve to be here. get the fuck out of here you spoiled, useless sack of shit.

so what did you guys think of gourcuffs performance?

he was on and off today, he kind of created our first goal, but then there were moments where he lost the ball in dangerous situations.

you could tell he was trying be a seedorf, but he needs to learn how to be more composed on the ball.

i still hope carlo gives him the opportunity of starting more games. we need to see the kid more...

and same goes for paloschi.

its all about pa-ka-pa now...

i don't think gourcuff has what it takes, he is not our answer. i agree with rob in that we should loan him out and see what happens. unlike gilardino, the guy does care when he plays, it's just the decision making that is flawed. perhaps more time playing for another team will iron out the wrinkles in his game. we need to bring in two more creative midfielders in the summer, one stud, and one secondary player who can rotate for pirlo and seedorf/new stud giving them much needed breaks.

im not sure how strong the link is, but he doesnt look that bad and id be willing to give him a chance...

and were we heavily linked with kaka' before we signed him??

the only thing i have heard are rumours started by the fans themselves, who start to believe that their transfer wishlists are actually realistic targets for the club. however, if this kid is good, then leonardo no doubt is aware of him and will do his best to bring him to us, so we will see what develops. i don't remember much about kaka as he was a player i was not very familiar with before him joining us.

yeah thats true. but the speculation started from an article on channel4 linking us with him.

and in the game, did paloschi shoot the ball at the gk or cut the ball back to kaka' for our third goal? if he cut it back then its fucking genius. but pato's pass was way too heavy, we're lucky we got anything out of that play...

he cut it back. paloschi is a stud. he has already done more for us in the first team than gilardino has in the whole season.

i don't really pay attention to channel 4 too much, but i'm sure that every now and then they come up with something truthful. i haven't seen the kid play, so i can't judge whether or not he would be a good pickup, and i am too skeptical of youtube clips to use as a foundation for judgment, but i sure as hell trust leonardo's eye for talent, and if he thinks he is good, then he is good.

i do regret failing to sign suazo, though. i hope he regrets it even more now that he is sanding out the rough edges of the inter bench with his ass.

yeah, i agree about suazo. another talent wasted on inters bench.

thats one thing i love about carlo, and in some ways lippi in 06. they build the team around the players qualities rather than the other way around. its the best way to get the best out of your players.

we did it, barcelona did. man utd does it in a certain sense. arsenal is a unique system, but each player on arsenal has the particular qualities needed for their high tempo approach to the game, and wenger utilizes his players' strength to enable the teams strength.

thats why pirlo sucked at inter and rocked with carlo. moratti is still complaining about letting pirlo go. thats the best thing a coach can do, build the team around the players and not the opposite.
