Fiorentina will fall off, uefa games are usually on thursday, so they get 2/3 days rest for the serie a matches. They won't be able to keep it up in both competitions, they don't have the depth for that.

Good news about maldini, the main reason why I was a little upset when milan got eliminated from CL was because of maldini.

Hopefully Maldini will be able to play for another year...solves the major defender crisis next year (or at least postpones it)...Zambrotta would probably be the only necessary addition...and like Maldini said, the focus should be on quality...

I would keep one of Boriello or Gillardino as our third striker...in fact, I'd keep Boriello as we gave him a raw deal of sorts...Gila's been given enough oppurtunities to prove himself and he's done nothing except during his yearly purple patch..

Inelegant declarations. Still, many congratulations. Here is the translated text of A.C. Milan's official note:
The declarations made by Massimo Moratti at the Teatro Smeraldo in Milan are certainly not elegant and denounce a very short memory with the claim that Inter were never involved with sporting justice and also a considerable lack of precision regarding Inter's allocation.
Despite the comprehensible affection which Massimo Moratti has for his team, it seems very exaggerated to say that they "have always been considered the prestigious team of Milan", when the other team has won much more both in Italy and internationally.
It's ironic that these words were said on the day that A.C. Milan, the other team in question, when the Golden Collar award from CONI, the highest sporting honor given to clubs which have honored the history of Italian sports.
In any case, many congratulations to our Nerazzurri cousins and to Inter for their 100th birthday.

Il Capitano should stay as long as he wants. I will supoprt whatever decision he makes, but if he stays, then we have less problems to worry about as far as holes to fill, and honestly, he was so majestic in the Arsenal games (both), alot of the younger ones should learn from his eternal class.

If he stays, then we're set for CBs, Bonera as no.4 and myabe we can keep Kaka's clown brother as no.5 since it wont matter. All we need is to get Zambro, either put a youth cover for fullback like Darmian or maybe recall Grimi if he's doing well (and the word it seems he is), or have we sold him to Sporting?

Other than that, we should get rid of all the dead weight like Cafu,Serginho, Favalli, Simic. We really cant spend that much on defence, maybe 10 millions max, which how much we can land Zambro for. So not much work in defence in all honesty.

The major work is left for a GK, a creative mid/winger, and a striker, with a few upgrades to the bench players like Brocchi. I'd keep Emerson for next season, and we'll have to sort out the Gourcuff issue as well. With regards to Gila, I'm, in principle, not opposed to selling/loaning him as he has yet to show he's capable of starting fulltime for Milan. The question is, can we spend for 2 quality strikers seeing how we struggle to get even 1?? And I mean established ones. I still think Gila is far more useful to us than cunts like Boriello or Oliviera. For me, these 2 we should cashed on for sure before their stocks drop. Unless Boriello, by some miracle, is in the Euro 2008 roster, then we'd have to wait until the tournament is over and evaluate our options.
