Clarence Seedorf has played down Rino Gattuso's argument with Alexandre Pato during Milan's 1-1 draw with Lecce at the Via del Mare last night. Gattuso had grown frustrated with Pato, who was particularly wasteful, and went over to have a few choice words with his teammate.

Seedorf was then seen lightly tugging at Gattuso's elbow to lead the player away.

“At times things can seem bigger than they actually are,” Seedorf explained. “They were only talking about a cross… When your heart is beating 180 times a minute, things don't always seem so lucid.”

Speaking after the game, Gattuso said: “It's all fine with Pato. What we said to each other is my business.”

i don't know. it's probably many factors, maybe including his brazilianness. a lot of it is the management's fault for bringing in poor role models. ronaldinho, for example, was a horrible example to give to young pato. while kaka was at the club, his work ethic and dedication were much greater than they seem to be now. when ronaldinho supplanted kaka, pato started to party more and got lazier. not sure that players like robinho or ibra help the cause much either.

milan used to be a team of champions; the maldinis, seedorfs, pippos, gattusos, cafus, nestas; even kaka, shevchenko, serginho, billy, ambro, etc. but that seems to have come to an end. i wish i could go back to 2005 and have that team back. we used to have players liked and respected by everyone; these days we're a pack of cunts.

lol, you said it. I'm not so sure if thats not more just a representation of how football is gone these days. I mean, I'm sure there were cunts back on that team you mentioned in the past, too, even if it were full of quality, admirable players. And I think you'd be doing well to name any top team these days who aren't full of horrible, cunt-like players, Roma aside, of course.

hes got 8 goals in 11 games, its hard to say that he is in poor form. he just plays like he doesnt give a shit, he is too nonchalant. everybody hates cristiano ronaldo, but cany you say that he didnt work hard to be where he is? i know for a fact that if pato had half the drive that gay ronaldo did, he would so much more greater than him. its a shame to see such an amazinf footballer go to waste.

Hmm, interesting. I haven't been paying as close attention to Pato personally to notice such a difference. I have to say when I've seen him play this season he does look to be decent if not spectacular form, and also does look like he is putting in the effort and not slacking off the way, say, Ibra would slack off from time to time. You would expect Pato to start pushing on though this season and become even better, but then again he has been hampered with injuries again this season, has he not?

i agree, you would think that pato would try to push on to do more in games, but he doesnt. he barely makes himself available for a pass and if he gets the ball he doesn't do anything with it. ibra is winning us points by himself, so i cant criticize him too much, but he is a dumbshit player too who makes stupid decisions on the ball.

as for criscito, he is gonna be italys left fullback for the next few years, so im sure he has something to add to the team.

"Genoa have reacted with surprise to reports that they have agreed to sell Domenico Criscito to Milan.

A number of Italian news sources are this evening reporting that the two clubs have agreed terms for the Italian international.

However, the news comes just hours after President Enrico Preziosi again insisted that he wouldn’t be selling Criscito in January.

“Criscito is not moving, at least not until the summer,” said the Marassi patron.

The club’s sporting director, Stefano Capozucca, has also poured cold water on the whispers of a ‘done deal’ this evening.
