AC Milan general spiel 2.0
i don't know what to think of galliani. for every burst of genius he shits out, he has 5 diarrhea's of stupidity.
and abbiati is injured, i just hope that it's a screen to drop his sorry ass to the bench. this is amelia's chance to take the starting spot, abbiati has fucked up way too many times this season.
and strasser will be starting tomorrow, rino is back while allegri said he expects more from seedorf. hell, i'll just paste the conference transcript here:
8/01/2011 INTELLIGENT APPROACH NEEDED
The day before Milan’s match against Udinese, Rossoneri coach Massimilano Allegri held his traditional pre-game press conference at Milanello. The tactician talked about the difficulties his team may face against the Bianconeri, the Rossoneri’s injury problems and the single players.
MILANELLO – Below is what Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri had to say in his press conference today:
ON THE MATCH AGAINST UDINESE: “The game tomorrow against Udinese will be a difficult one, as was our visit to Cagliari. Tomorrow, however, it will be even more difficult, because Guidolin’s team is gifted, fast, plays well and is very well organised. We’ll need to be patient and intelligent. At the Sant’Elia, my team played a good game, seeing that we didn’t run risks, while we created four or five big chances. When you don’t play for twenty days or so it’s never easy, as you have to get it rolling again. In Cagliari we didn’t give them much, apart from two opportunities. I think we could do even better tomorrow.”
ON HIS DOUBTS REGARDING THE FORMATION: “Ibrahimovic is returning tomorrow, I think will make it, too. We’re in a bit of an emergency situation in midfield regarding the number, but not the quality, of the available players. I’ll field Strasser, Seedorf and Gattuso. It’s possible that Robinho will play right behind the strikers. If not, it will be Merkel’s role, but I’m still to decide.”
ON THE YOUNGSTERS: “These lads have made it this far thanks to the coaching staff working in the youth sector. It takes courage to play them, but you also need to be lucky to find them space at the right moment. These youngsters did very well in the preseason tournament in London. That experience made clear to me that I could use them in the future, like it happened in Cagliari and Bologna. Both the youngsters and the veterans are important to winning, let’s just remember Oddo’s case. He came off the bench in Naples and went on to give two assists. This kind of matches are very important.”
ON PATO: “H played a good game, he did well especially in the second half. From a physical point of view, he’s fine, he worked a lot for the team when Cagliari had possession. It’s something he hadn’t done much in the past.”
ON MERKEL AND SEEDORF: “At the moment, Merkel is playing right behind the strikers, but I think in the future his natural role will be in midfield. Seedorf didn’t play poorly in Cagliari, but I’m sure he can give even more.”
ON THE TRANSFER MARKET: “We need a new midfielder. It’s a technical matter, independent of our injury crisis. Definitely, a new midfielder would be welcome.”
ON ROBINHO: “He has done well as a second striker. At Cagliari, he did well also playing right behind the forwards. He could do well in both roles, his position depends on the given game.”
ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP: “Inter have always been in the race for the league title, as have Roma, Lazio, Napoli and Juventus. We need to found consistency and the game tomorrow is fundamental from this standpoint. Next week we’ll have some players back and having everyone available will be very important to do well both in Serie A and in the Champions League.”
ON CASSANO: “He has started his adventure at Milan on the right foot, regardless of his assist in Cagliari. He did well in Dubai, but he’s coming off two months without playing and now he’s training with a team in peak form, so it’s normal that he’s a bit behind. However, when he’s called upon he takes to the field with the right mentality, he has immense class and can help the team to reach new heights.”
ON THE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PRESIDENT: “I’ve come to Milan with the intention of getting to know this club. The important thing is that the club backs me and also my players help my work.”
ON RONALDINHO: “I’ve had a good relationship with him, based on respect. He always respected my decisions, taken bearing in mind the good of Milan. Ronaldinho and Cassano? Ronaldinho’s departure is a great loss for Italian football, because I can’t see many players around with his technical abilities, but then there’s the team’s balance to consider. Cassano is a player who can help us a great deal and I think he won’t disappoint.”
ON HIS EXPERIENCES AS MILAN COACH: “The darkest memory is that quarter of an hour in Madrid, while the highlight of these months has been victory against Inter, also because it was my first derby.”
i was appalled to see the way seedorf was booed off the field today. he is one of the greatest players to have ever played at milan, and while he did make the mistake that lead to the 3rd goal, he was playing ambrosini's role to near perfection. he was hustling and closing down the ball players and he was keeping the ball ticking. unfortunately his game will be characterized by that one mistake, but for a player who carries himself with such dignity and grace, to be booed off the pitch like that is an absolute disgraceful act of cowardice by the minority of monkeys that were in the curva today. it was absolutely disgusting and infuriating.
seedorf deserves a lot more respect than that, he may not be the player he once was, but he is a man whose integrity protects him rather than vice versa, i sincerely hope that one day we will see clarence hold an important position in the management of the club. but i also hoped that Maldini would hold such a role, but galliani is a fucking nazi and most likely will never let it happen.
seedorf had played a very tidy and neat game up until that giveaway despite being played out of position. he played ambrosini's position, but with a mix of regista as he and pirlo were sharing that duty somewhat.
the fact that he had to be played out of position is a sign that there's not really any room for him in the club. i would love to see him replace galliani as general manager of the club (and i would love to see paolo become the president sort of how facchetti was the president at inter before he died), but i think in order to have any changes like that take place, we would need a change in ownership. the last thing i would want to see is for galliani and berlusconi to alienate those two like they did with leonardo.
I fischi? Non esprimo opinioni, ammetto solo l’errore. Ho sbagliato, non mi capita spesso ma anch’io sono umano". ==========
a real fucking man. with balls the size of the moon.
If that's not enough news, apparently Passarella (President of River Plate) is in Milan to discuss the transfer of Erik Lamela with Braida. The negotiations will start from €12 Million (our offer) and €18 Million (their acceptable offer.)
As captain of Colombia Yepes gets to make a Balon D'or vote, he voted for Xabi Alonso by mistake meaning to vote for Xavi, the 19 votes for Xabi if all done in error could have changed the final result of the award!
Paolo Maldini "Il Sogno di ogni attaccante e' segnare il piu' bella gol della storia. L'incubo e' incontrare il miglior difensore del mondo."
Francesco Totti "Never give up Pippo,You are an example for all of us to never give up."
Antonio Cassano admits he should be "locked up in a mental home" if he blows his Milan chance this season.
The 28-year-old playmaker arrived from Sampdoria after he fell out with the club president Riccardo Garrone.
Some have viewed the move as a gamble from Milan, one Cassano hopes will pay the jackpot.
"If I do something wrong here then I should be locked up in a mental home," Cassano told the press.
"I have made many mistakes, but I don't regret them. But now I must change, I am forced to change. I want to win, and everything goes in the right way here.
"Plus, the fines here are very heavy."
Milan are whipping Cassano into line with no excuses not to make an effort.
"I have never been a great worker in terms of physical effort, but seeing people like Alessandro Nesta, Rino Gattuso, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Clarence Seedorf working makes me think why shouldn't I train like them? I am working like a dog, but I am happy."
hahahaha quotes of the week for me!

Francesco Totti "Never give up Pippo,You are an example for all of us to never give up."
rather than just retyping it i just copied and pasted somebody elses post, some interesting names linked with us, thoughts on any?
that's from TMW:
-Angelo Ogbonna (22 yr-old Italian CB from Torino) -Sebastien Pocognoli (23 yr-old Belgian FB from Standard Liege) -Kevin de Bruyne (19 yr-old Belgian CAM from Genk) -Sissoko (the Juve Midfielder, he's 26)
All in addition to Bosingwa, Santacroce, Van Bommel , and the apparently very probably Criscito.
Some interesting things to note: -Apparently Santacrocce is 24, i thought he was younger,so he is as old as Criscito. -We are linked to young players (19, 22, 23) which is always better than the old habit of 30+ cheap players (excluding Van Bommel .... again) -Sissoko!!! where did that come from??? Not sure what you guys think about that, but i remember he produced some brilliant displays in his 1st season with Juve but I haven't seen much of him or them this season & last...
If Filipez can give us some insights on the Belgian players, that would be helpful. And if someone is following Ogbonna, who's apparently having a very good season with Torino this year and being followed by a lot of clubs, that would also be gr8.
Edit: One more name from Calciomercato: Piotr Trochowski, 26 yr-old Midfielder from Hamburg whose contract is expiring in June!

Robinho assures wasting scoring opportunities at Milan is not a problem. “It is not my job to score goals.”
The Brazilian has impressed with his work rate so far this season, but in each game seems to miss a series of great chances.
“People say I waste too many chances, but I replied that it is not my job to score goals,” said the former Manchester City striker.
“My purpose is to help set up the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexandre Pato, while the only team has to lend a hand. If I happen to score a goal, then that’ll make me extra happy.
“People say my personality is a problem, but look back over my career and you won’t find a single argument with a Coach or teammate in my career,” continued Robinho.
“I reached the Rossoneri at the right time. I want to win and so do Milan, which is why we are forced to play every game to the death.”
Robinho famously flopped at Manchester City and blamed homesickness.
“I knew it would be lovely at Milan. Rivaldo, Kaka and Ronaldinho told me about this wonderful place and their response has made me proud.
“It’s a pity Ronaldinho has left, but the number of Brazilians at Milan does help me to feel a little more at home.
“Even without Ronaldinho, we’ll manage to turn San Siro into a samba hall to celebrate.”

Milan confirm Criscito interest – Saturday 15 January 2011
Domenico Criscito could be on his way to Milan, after the Rossoneri's vice-president Adriano Galliani admitted that he was in negotiations to sign the full-back. Milan have been in the market for a new left-back for some time with Marek Jankulovski and Luca Antonini not entirely trusted in the position.
Genoa's Criscito has now emerged as the club's first-choice solution to the problem and the two clubs are in talks over a transfer according to Galliani.
Galliani said: “We are talking about it with Genoa president Enrico Preziosi. It was one of the things we spoke about over dinner in Brazil.”
The Milan chief was in South American arranging Ronaldinho's sale to Flamengo when he met Preziosi for transfer discussions. The pair also reportedly mulled over the future of Kevin-Prince Boateng, who is co-owned by Milan and Genoa.
But the priority is the future of Italy international Criscito, 24, who is likely to move to the San Siro if Milan can meet Genoa's asking price.
he was told off by both ibra and gattuso in the first half. and judging by gattuso's reaction to what pato said, in which gattuso got in his face and was held back by seedorf, i'm guessing pato said something disrespectful. i've never seen gattuso go off on a teammate like he did with pato today.
pato didn't do 2 shits the whole game, he shows no heart nor any effort. we missed robinho today, pato can fuck off to hell.
Nice way to support your player through a poor patch of form, Shinpin. You sure you're not an Interisti?
So what are your chances of getting Criscito? He'd be a great addition for yis and would bring you that bit closer to being a good team. Still need more than him to be complete. He'd be able to play in the CL, too, wouldn't he?
