"The agent of Napoli midfielder Michele Pazienza has revealed that Milan are one of the clubs interested in signing his client.

The 28-year-old has been a regular for the Partenopei this season with 13 Serie A appearances, but his future at the club is far from certain.

"There is no real agreement with AC Milan for Pazienza, but it's clear that when there are important and mature players available many clubs make inquiries and also the Rossoneri," Vincenzo D'Ippolito told RadioKissKiss.

"Over time, Michele is proving his worth, every time he takes the field he does it with professionalism and dedication. His intention is to stay in Naples, the player wants to continue and if possible close out his career with the club.

"[Coach Walter] Mazzarri has a great esteem for Pazienza, but the club haven't sent many signals on whether they would like him to stay."

Pazienza has steadily improved in the Castrol Rankings, moving forward over 100 places to 443 over the last several months."

Inter president Massimo Moratti admits they are not hoping to sign Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano, leaving Milan free to swoop in January.

"Cassano? At the moment this doesn't stand up. We are not looking for players from the market," Moratti told the press.

And with Fiorentina, Parma and Juventus all claiming they have no interest in the 28-year-old Italian, Milan appear to be the sole traders for him.

La Stampa claims the Rossoneri have already sparked contact with both Sampdoria and Real Madrid, the Spanish club are set to pocket around €5 million if the Italian club sell him.

That scenario will likely be influenced by the Lega Serie A's arbitration panel who will, in effect, decide Cassano's future.

A recission, which could arrive today, will mean the play can join Milan, or any other club on a free transfer immediately.

However, should a fine be dealt, Milan would have to negotiate with Samp and Madrid over the transfer as the Spanish side will be owed €5m from a clause they established when Cassano moved to Genoa in 2007.

The extra cash would not pose a big deal for Milan, but Cassano's €2.8m per annum demands could case Adriano Galliani to baulk.

Looks like the on Cassano is that he could well be staying at Samp after the arbitration panel said he shouldn't be released for free. Of course, that doesn't mean that they won't just put him up for sale, but for their own sake they should just welcome him back. And why the feck would Milan want Pazienza, he's bleedin useless.

Santa Cruz was a reliable goal scorer in the EPL. He has good size and will be an aerial threat. His ability to score in calcio will depend on whether or not he can handle tighter marking and shirt grabbing. If he can play a physical game, he will be solid in this league. I like Roque. I would take him on Juventus in a second.

interesting you should say that Tony because i've only ever seen him score consistantly for Blackburn and then hes been so-so at City but then he was decent at the WC if my memory is correct so i was still undecided on him.

skysport has said that garrone has given galliani the ok to deal with cassano. his contract would be around 3m a year plus bonuses until 2014. and cassano will probably join the team during the winter retreat in dubai at the end of the year.

Report: Milan strike Cassano deal
Adriano Galliani admits interest in Antonio Cassano, as there are reports Milan have already agreed a deal.

Today the tribunal ruled that Sampdoria could not terminate his contract, but the player will be suspended without pay until February 1 2011 and then see out the rest of his contract with halved wages.

The decision was made because the blazing row with President Riccardo Garrone was “a moment of madness” and not part of a wider problem, read the verdict.

He may not be a free agent, but it’s still likely Cassano will be sold in January and Milan are thought to already have a deal.

According to several reports in Italy this evening, a meeting between Vice-President Galliani and agent Beppe Bozzo sealed the agreement over dinner.

It is claimed the deal will see Milan pay the €5m owed to his former club Real Madrid as part of a definitive transfer.

It’ll also extend his contract from the current 2013 expiry to June 2014. Before the move can be completed, the Rossoneri will find a new destination for benchwarmer Ronaldinho.

“I would not advise people to bet only on Cassano, as there are many very important players who could move in January, including overseas and across the English Channel,” commented Galliani.

“We are looking for a technically gifted player and Cassano fits that bill, but he is not the only one.

“Let us leave Cassano alone. He is a Samp player, while Ronaldinho is part of the Milan squad and will stay here.”

Cassano it is by the looks of it...I believe the thinking of Milan is to use him as trequartista although he's not a pure one per se, I think this would be the most logical role for him with Seedorf being the backup

Basically, under ideal circumstances when everybody is fit and available, this will be our depth chart

No place for Dinho, he absolutely will make a difference on our payroll once offloaded, net 7.5-8 million euros a year he's on par with Ibra as the highest paid Milan, that's insane, Cassano will get only 3 millions...I think Milan are banking on the 1-1/2 years of maturity Cassano displayed with Samp and treating the latest issue as an isolated incident...risky move, if it wasn't for his attitude issues over the years, I would definitely totally support this move
