Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has pointed out that Tuesday's Champions League meeting with Auxerre will be crucial for the rest of the competition and added that the French side won't be pushovers.

"Auxerre will have a very different team compared to our first meeting. This team have played some good games – beating Ajax was a difficult thing to do," the Milan coach was quoted as saying by uefa.com.

"On Tuesday they have to win. It will be a game with a lot of intensity, and will be crucial for the rest of the competition.

we didn't play the best football, but we controlled the ball very well and came away with a victory and passage to the next stage. ibra and ronaldinho scored amazing goals.

and ibra is turning into the signing of the season, he's got around 11 goals in 17 games, most of those goals were some that no other player in the world would've scored. he is a monster.

Awesome result(s)..not champagne football but we were efficient, controlling and ruthless in a tough place and got the job done nicely and quite comfortably too

We've become hard to breakdown, some might point out that it's due to 3 DMs playing but that's not entirely true, the whole team is defending as a single unit starting from attack and the movement, positioning and tactical awareness of the side have rapidly improved since the Real game in San Siro...fullbacks are defending well and of course we have an amazing CB partnership...we're very balanced...alot of credit should go to Allegri who's doing a fine job with the team...he knows what he's doing unlike Leonardo last season who was all over the place

Of course, attack-wise, we do not have alot of creativity, we might have just enough to win us games...the big question is Pirlo right now and where he will fit when he comes back...while it's true we do lack creativity since we started playing the Flamini-Ambro-Rino line, we might lose a bit defensively if one of them is taken out for Pirlo...I'm more inclined to have Pirlo rotate with Seedorf for that AM spot with Pirlo being the starter by default....that's the main question for Allegri at this moment...also, I think our side would improve if we start Boateng in place of Rino, don't underestimate the defensive prowess of Boateng, he can provide that and, on top of that, give us more technique in the attacking phase as Rino simply is not good enough on that side of the pitch....he's been having a great campaign but is still the weak link in midfield right now.
