yes nesta was way too fucking dominant for benfica tonight. he popped up with some crazy tackles, and so did kaladze.

i hate it when the team resorts to a defensive mindset, it takes away the fun.

kaka' shouldve sealed the game for us in the end, but i guess it wasnt to be.

Maldini was simply impeccable. im not sure who benfica had on the right, but he tried taking on Maldini 2-3 times and everytime Maldini got to the ball before him, and capitano recovered the ball!!!

dida had a great game today, his positioning was second to none and he did really well with most shots.

we got the needed result in the end, but we should've won the game with the chances kaka' had in the end.

and pirlo, theres nothing left to say about him, a phenomenal player. a true king.

dida was our mom, imo. there was absolutely nothing he could have done on their goal, as that was simply a wondergoal that would have eluded any keeper in the world. i give him a 9 rating, maybe 9.5. nesta and kaladze were great, too. i thought rino was mediocre to poor throughout. he's the only player that i would blame on their goal, and he made too many horrible giveaways. he needs his facial hair back.

I think werder will beat olympiacos and qualify for the round of 16. They got a huge win today against real without diego, with him back in the lineup i think they'll pull it out. I also think lyon will beat the rangers.....

i don't know, rangers already beat lyon once, i think they can hold them for a draw and advance on head-to-head. i don't rate the german teams at all, either, and i think olympiacos will take it, especially since i believe the game to be in greece.

as for who has impressed? we saw last year that this matters little at this point. manure have impressed, but that doesn't mean too much. they have done just enough to get by in most games, and that's the mark of a champion team. arsenal impressed early, but have shown immaturity in the last two matchdays. wenger made a terrible mistake that may end up biting him in the rear by resting his whole first team against slavia.

barcelona have been the most impressive, by the way.
