I think there's more likelihood of us knocking in 15 goals in the second half than either of us giving an inch or deciding we like each other.

Once you've crossed Giovanni its quite difficult for him to ever forgive you. Its in his nature, you see. You won't be the last person he'll call an asshole. Personally I think you deserve it for deleting all those wonderful posts in the first place, ya prick. Particularly mine.

Not a bad half from the boys and we've had some nice passages of play but that final ball is just terrible and its not happening in front of their goal. Borriello is showing for the ball well but he's too isolated and his understanding with Menez is poor. We need to see more of Menez but he's struggling to get into it. And Cassetti's crossing is shite. We're still in it, we're working very hard off the ball and closing them down well, and as long as we don't concede first we still have a shot.

Yes Italiamia, but honestly, AlCapone didn't pass that on. I just wanted to make that clear, just so no-one thinks less of him. I was actually looking here when I saw I was mentioned and felt I should at least have the right to stick up for myself/dig a deeper hole. I've had a look in the past but never posted.
Roma-Addict is unfortunately very poor these days, it's like a kindergarten at times. But I still have a lot of friends from there so I keep using it.

Let's hope we don't have a defensive rush of shit to the brain like often happens. But our recent record in the San Siro isn't bad.....

RA is suffering badly at the moment alright, Simon. I still visit there quite regularly myself even if I don't post that often, but as Al will tell you as well, if you do take the time to get into a conversation or serious of posting with some of the more frequent posters there at the moment then its only going to end one way.

Good effort in the second-half but it just wasn't to be. Inter's goal was unfortunate and really took the wind out of us, and after Borriello hit both posts from Vooch's lovely through ball I thought we were toast. But credit to Borriello for getting that header, he had a fine game, and in the end we were unlucky then not to add to it.

Greco done well when he came on, and at least then we had someone who was actually able to deliver a decent set-piece into the box. He had some nice crosses. This is something which has hurt us for a long time now and we don't get near enough goals as we should from set-pieces. The Caprari for Menez sub was also a good call from Montella on this occasion, I feel. Menez lost the ball far too often in dodgy positions and his head just wasn't in the game as you would expect. He just didn't look like someone who had anything to prove, which was disappointing. Caprari showed a little bit of life when he came on, at least.

Interesting piece suggesting we'll see Totti and Borriello start upfront against Catania with both Vucinic and Menez left out. If those two do start i wonder what sort of formation we'll see and if it'll be a fairly conservative 4-4-2 (with DDR and Perrotta still suspended and Pizza a doubt with a muscle problem). I'd like to see Greco get a run out too after his good showing against Inter.

Also, the tifosi start ahead of Menez (although its likely neither will start) and have been singing 'A CATANIA CON CAPRARI!' (in Catania with Caprari) in support of him. I like what I've seen from him in his brief performances for us lately and you have to remember he's still only 17-years of age, he seems quite confident and not afraid to take on his man which is good to see in a youngster. Against Catania though it may be a big call to expect him to be in from the start.

from Impero Romanista is going on about how many people are sick of Menez and his poor attitude and that he may leave, but it also says – "Perrotta e Borriello più di una volta hanno fulminato con lo sguardo Menez" – that both Perrotta and Borriello "glared" at Menez durin the game last night for not giving a shit, which I cant remember. Was there much in that, did anyone see?

Interesting that both ForzaRoma and RomaNews have Rosi starting ahead of Cassetti at right-full. Has Cassetti had an injury concern or something during the week, or is he a doubt? I haven't seen anything to that effect. Its unlikely that both Rosi and Caprari would play down the right, I think, as it could leave us a little vulnerable down that side. Myself and Maro were discussing a few days ago that it probably would be a straight-forward 4-4-2 with Taddei and Rosi working hard on the wings, which would leave us a little isolated up front with Totti and Borriello, but hopefully they can work some goals between them. But that would depend on if Cassetti plays. On the issue of Caprari, while it would be nice to see him get a start for us, it could be a a big ask to throw him in in a game of such importance and what will be quite a hostile atmosphere (it always is in Catania, but they're having a party for this one), and Monty said in his today that he is still hasn't decided if he'll play him or not. This will be a very tough game, a must win for sure, and one which will test the managerial abilities of Montella to the limit.
