This move just doesn't make sense. It just seems like a panic buy or something. We've barely got two coins to rub together all summer and couldn't secure Burdisso until after the season started, and now, all of sudden, from fuckin nowhere, we're dropping €15m on a player we don't even need? What the feck is going on here? Why could we not have got that money earlier on in the summer – give Ranieri a choice of what he wants. It just doesn't make sense, we don't urgently need a new striker. We need a winger, a central-midfielder, more strength-in-depth further down the field, a forward is the last place I would said. Give Okaka his chance. What the fuck is goin on?

What I am hearing now, and what has been stated publically in Rome, is that Roma pay 2 million to Milan now for the loan of Borriello, and then Roma has the option to buy him outright for 13 million more at the expiration of the loan deal. From what I understand, this is the exact same deal rubentus offered and Borriello rejected.

What did I say earlier this afternoon? As soon as I saw the Borriello rumour I knew someone had wakened up within our management and it could only have been Ranieri. I'm not surprised and I'm glad it has happened. Vučinić-Borriello-Ménez. What a tridente, and being interchangeable with Totti, why in hell do some of you guys have such long faces over this? I don't see anywhere that "Philou" the fans' favourite is to be dumped because Marco Borriello has come to Roma. At last we are something like back in business and you guys will see that even though Borriello isn't world class, he will do just fine for us. He will be a much more regular starter with us than with Milan and that can only do him good.

There was no pace up front with a Totti-Adriano pairing and it put too much pressure on Menez and Vučinić to provide it. No wonder Vuci looked drained and disgusted over the last few games. The fact that the squad is not yet at the level Ranieri wants, coupled to the latest setback to Adriano, and topped off with the disappointment against the Cesenate on Saturday, it must have all had our mister raging behind the scenes.

Ranieri couldn't have said any more often than he did, that he wanted us off to a good start which has not happened. If we had stayed as was, waiting and hoping, possibly only scraping a win here and there, the season might well have been beyond us in terms of being sure we finish in the top four by the time we manged to improve on our results.

Now at least we we stand a chance of realising some of our wishes. Next summer we need to hope we have the money to close the deal properly!

What,Borriello on loan???

Giovanni, are sayin it's a loan for €2m and then we have to pay €13m for him at the end of the season. As in its not an option but a precondition. Is that correct?

My God, I just thought of something worse. Marco Borriello and Marco Cassetti standind side-by-side in a team line-up. We'll be the gayest team in Europe.
