Compared to Vuci, he was quiet, yes. So he ran a few times up and down the wing, isn't he great. We're talking about V u c i n i c here. He is The LitM. The LitM. Enough said.

We're starting to let them back into it. We have a serious problem with going ahead and then not knowing what to do. We need that second.

i dont know why we're letting samp see so much of the ball. we are up by one man stil, no? looks like panucci is now making amends for his poor (by his usual standards) first half.

Shield, the point of the substitution for Spags, I think, is to keep the balance of the team the same. He asks Vooch to offer similar kinds of things to Mancini - getting beyond Totti, technical quality, goals. Cassetti's giving us work-rate and so is part of the balance. He's tucked in each time DDR's got forward or come wide. Bringing him off would have been to go for the throat against the 10 men but it would also have altered radically the balance of the team when things were running extremely smoothly.

maro, cicinho's time was around the 60th minute if not before. Panucci hasn't had the best of games today.

Yes Maro, I agree, and I was alluding to that point earlier when saying that Vucinic's positioning is a lot more advanced then the opposite side where we have Cassetti. Vucinic was out on the left, but not as a winger, and was operating a lot more advance and even alongside Totti at times. I think he can do this when Perrotta is in the team, too, as his workrate and energy allows a bit more creative freedom for the likes of Vucinic. Cassetti is working hard on the wing, but yet has offered little going forward. Spalletti could of taken off Cassetti instead and had both Vucinic and Mancini supporting Totti, and we would of gotten that all-important second goal by now. After all, Samp are down to 10. Instead we starting to struggle and now we are even looking nervous. Plus, having Brighi on for Perrotta would offered more defensive cover.

Christ, 3 and a half minutes, lets just get this over with. Feck me my heart, Carraciollo so close, Doni to the rescue. Two great chances. Its not over yet FOR FUCK SAKE!
