Panucci: "Non mi aspettavo le parole della Sensi su Spalletti"
SPORT MEDIASET - Queste le parole di Christian Panucci, ospite di 'Controcampo', in merito alla sua esperienza con la Roma.
"In 4 anni ha fatto grandissime cose, un lavoro straordinario. Poi i cicli finiscono, tutto finisce e lui ha fatto una scelta. Ma il gruppo della Roma e' molto riconoscente a Spalletti e credo che si debba rendere merito a un uomo che in 4 anni ha fatto grandissime cose. Dire che ha abbandonato la barca non rende merito a quello che ha fatto a Roma. Io con Spalletti indipendentemente dall'episodio di Napoli ho sempre giocato. Con i caratteri che abbiamo ci sta di discutere, ma siamo stati sempre sulla stessa linea. Molte volte i giornali creano delle inimicizie tre le persone, ma il rapporto tra me e Spalletti e' stato ottimo. Mexes in panchina? Può darsi si sia trattato di turn over. In ogni caso non credo che per lui sia stata una bocciatura".

I admit that my memory is faulty, and I pay little attention to Juventus, but didn't Henry play a different position at Juve? Then Wenger 'rediscovered' him at Arse and the rest is history.
Funny that even Panucci has nice words to say about Spalletti now. I must say, however, that Spalletti rarely had the option of benching Mexy because I recall us struggling to put 2 CDs together, let alone having 3 potentially available.
