We have a lot to think about, guys.

If...it happens, potential new owner(s) and coach will have a serious bearing on the transfer market and unfortunately that can also mean the loss of certain key players if the changes aren't to their liking. Let's hope for the positive aspects. If a new owner in conjunction with a high enough profile head coach can attract some big or biggish name players, we can go from strength to strength. That's just sheer common sense.

We've had an off and on taste over the past nine years of what it's like to compete evenly with the big three in Italy and I know I want some more of the good times! I don't want to be stuck again in a time warp as I was from the late 80's to the late 90's, reminiscing about Roberto Pruzzo and his grande Roma...until Gabriel Batistuta showed up and let's be frank, he was like manna from heaven to us in his first season!

Even if it was "in fits and starts" fashion, we built on Batigol's Roma. As we know only too well, football has moved on from his era, it's now more than ever about how rich a club is in terms of buying power. Well, so be it! If that's what it takes and we can get it...but yes, as Gio our forum legal eagle points out, we ideally still need Italians, better yet, Romans in key management positions if our new owners are not. Andrew, our lawyer in the making rightly adds, our new owners/management team should certainly be European rather than other, if at all possible.

Frenchie, "ugualmente amerei tutta la nuova proprietà italiana!" I too would love an all Italian new ownership! Also I'd prefer to continue with an Italian majority in our player roster as we now have.

But we need a serious re-launch and if we can achieve that in the meantime, hopefully we can also get our priorities in order as we go, re/our youth players and making sure we keep a strongly Italian flavoured senior squad!

'Moldo, yes we can certainly draw parallels with Rosella Sensi...Sergio Cragnotti and the Tanzi family should have had it made with Cirio and Parmalat.

I'm surprised you didn't add that arrogant buffoon Vittorio Cecchi Gori who ruined his inheritance big time...film studios, tv channels, and of course Fiorentina with the help of another buffoon and know it all joke of a coach Aldo Agroppi!

That was almost unbelievable if you remember. Second place in Serie A at Christmas when Gigi Radice was fired as coach. Relegated to B by the season's end under Agroppi...

It wouldn't in the least surprise me if a tv documentary is made one day about how Cecchi Gori managed to avoid jail at the time over his business and income tax irregularities! If memory serves, he was somehow able to struggle on in business after losing Fiorentina in 2002 but the last I heard he was arrested on bankruptcy charges around this time last year.

There are Italians involved in this deal but who it is is a big question mark. Fioranello (the agent who made the contact) already got a yes from Baldini to take over as new technical director which means the axe for Prade. And he wants to bring in Prandelli as new coach since he can't work together with Spalletti.

Now with the latest statement from Rosella, who knows what will happen. I'm sick and tired of her running this team into the ground. If she stays on as president I'll boycot Roma till she gets the F out.

Bruno Conti, direttore tecnico della Roma, al Corriere dello Sport: "Spalletti sarà l'allenatore della Roma anche nella prossima stagione. Io francamente non vedo il problema, c'è un contratto di due anni a dirlo in maniera piuttosto chiara, io non ci voglio neppure pensare all'eventualità di un nuovo allenatore. Siamo concentrati su questo finale di campionato che vogliamo onorare nel miglior modo possibile per conquistare un posto in Europa a cui teniamo tantissimo".

Conti said that Spalletti will stay as our manager for next season, and that there are no problems, he still has a few years left on his contract. Conti is quite close to the players and if he says it I tend to think there is a some truth to it.

On the takeover front, after the clubs official denial of any discussions regarding a move, the Flick family (Gert-Rudolf Flick) have also said they have no interesting in purchasing in AS Roma, and said they don't know anything about it:

De Rossi is going to Inter, Mexes to Milan, Aquilani to Fiorentina in exchange for Kuzmanovic, Sorrentino could replace Doni, Juan & Vucinic future's are unclear, we signed Stefano Guberti, Spalletti is gone, while Allegri, Ranieri & Giampaolo are in line to succeed him.

Can we take more of this??? I'am just praying that the bitch will be gone as soon as possible.

Edzo, my thoughts are wait and see how it all plays out. I have no doubt that Rosella is resisting again but the pressure from her family and Ip may be too much this time around. I also find it interesting that official statetments from Roma, Ip and the Flicks came on the heels of the Roma stock increasing by 4%. In addition, the Flicks have publically stated that they are interested in buying part of the club. Despite some rumors to the contrary, they want partners in this venture. Enter the Swiss group led by Alescio. All of this is already known. So, in my opinion, the public denials are necessary to avoid further inquiry into the leaking of this deal.

But also be aware that with all of the public denials from the alleged parties involved in the deal, Paolo Fiorentino. Vice President of Unicredito, refused to comment today regarding a Roma buyout with the Flicks. "Fiorentino ha quindi pronunciato un 'no comment' sulla possibile cifra offerta dalla cordata tedesca."

Personally, I think you guys are much too hard on Rosella. You have to take into account things like the amount of money she's saved the club on floodlights - for night games and training sessions - with the radiance of her tan. Though I suppose we'll be able to make a bit more money from gate receipts now they won't have to cordon off the 100m radius around the famous shit-on-garlic-bread epicentre.
