Venditti has also "I never said to remove the hymns", indicating that he said Roma have to stop using his songs. But he still used the issue to get his point across.

Thats interesting stuff in Blogistuta's post all the same. I don't know much about Venditti or his politics or that Marione character. Seems like all a bit of a storm in a teacup, really, which is the way it always is with the media in Rome.

Can anyone clarify, though, if there actually is any truth to this "rumour going round that the club had commissioned a new anthem"? Are they, or is that just Venditti?

DDR's meeting with Sabatini is positive, as is Garcia's views on him. His future is much more important than any chants or songs played in the Olimpico, and will be the real deciding factor when it comes to our new management and the direction they are taking this club.

why on earth would i have written that? it came up on FB again and i chuckled at how the last sentence said the deal was supposedly in its closing stages. and fred, why on earth would you ever want to see the source of it? if you thought it was credible after reading the headline, you should have paid attention to the part that said hazard had 'little space' at chelsea. he played almost every game in the Premiershit.

yeah, i saw that part. had the answer to that question been something else, he would be in trigoria right now - that's why i think it was a close call. i hadn't realized just how willing he was to join roma.

mancini was a proven and well-known manager, who wanted roma badly, and who was apparently also wanted by the romans, that the management didn't contact - that says a bit on how much of a bad fit they thought he was. why they thought so is beyond me but i have a bit more respect for them for making that decision.
