Maro and Aba, no I didn't expect what you mentioned out of the team yesterday, just a bit more "fire" and "readiness" in anticipation of Tuesday.

In addition, its not about being whinny, but I just like being grounded and realistic about the possible facts, rather than being full of optimism.

On the other hand, I just read that the Arse team has so many players missing for the game on Tuesday. Have you seen their list? Their biggest threat will come in the form of Van Pierce. There's no reason why our team should not go there and take the win.

Two Ch4 articles below...in the first, regarding Vučinić and Aquilani, most of us will have guessed from days ago they'd be available for the CL but it's still comforting to see it in print. Vuci we need for the London gig, likewise De Rossi and Perrotta. As for Juan, it's comforting to know he will most likely play a part too.

As for this second article, Mexes talks of our injuries apart from spitting some fire at the Arseholes in their Emirates stadium. Quite apart from his opinions, if we can only get Aquilani and our gallant Capitan' Francesco to something more like match fitness before Easter then I'd personally be a lot happier. We need that 4'th Serie A place and last CL spot!

La Roma si prepara. La partita tra i giallorossi e l'Arsenal è vicina. Domani, la comitiva romanista partirà da Fiumicino per Londra. Il decollo è previsto per le ore 9.45, con un volo charter della Blue Panorama. L'aereo atterrerà intorno alle 11.15 locali all'aeroporto di Luton. La squadra raggiungerà l'albergo. Nel pomeriggio, andrà in scena la conferenza stampa di Spalletti e di un giocatore. Alle 19.00 locali, i giallorossi testeranno il terreno di gioco dell'Emirates Stadium, nel corso dell'allenamento.

A CASA — Spalletti ha convocato ventidue elementi, per la trasferta inglese. I soli Cassetti e Menez non sono stati inseriti nella lista. Il primo è ancora alle prese con la lesione distrattiva di secondo grado a carico del bicipite femorale della coscia destra. Cassetti con tutta probabilità tornerà a disposizione tra quattro settimane circa. Menez non riesce a superare la tendinopatia all'inserzione del quadricipite femorale. «Spero di tornare domenica nella gara contro l'Inter», le parole del francese.

AQUILANI — Aquilani sta meglio. Oggi, il centrocampista si è dedicato alla corsa e agli allunghi con Silio Musa, al Fulvio Bernardini. Poi, Alberto ha lavorato con il pallone. La distorsione alla caviglia destra è stata superata, insomma. L'ultimo interrogativo è rappresentato da questa notte, comunque. Se la caviglia non si gonfierà e di conseguenza non provocherà dolore, allora il ragazzo sarà completamente impiegabile dall'allenatore. Altrimenti, non si correrà il rischio. Thats not quite what the latest from says, Carlo. They are now saying Juan's thigh strain is likely to see him miss out on Tuesday, which is a feckin disaster. Why the feck didn't we rest him on Saturday? Ugh I know its easy to say that now but what the feck like. He went to the Villa Stuart today and its more serious than initially thought, but we should know for definite in training tomorrow. RomaNews are saying that Loria will partner Philippe at the back, the mere thought of which sort of makes me cry tears of acid and want to pluck my eyes out with my fingers and then eat my eyeballs just so I won't have to watch that.

The boys leave for Luton airport tomorrow morning. Everyone except for Cassetti and Menez (and The Grumpy Old Fuck of course). Menez is a blow but he's not ready but hopes to be back for Inter at the weekend.

Cici, Aquilani and Cornetto should be all good to go, as will Mirko, who still has some slight dodgy ginocchio problems and can't train, which is not ideal but waddaya gonna do, no fear, he will rise to the occasion and bring down the Arsewipe and then drop his shorts.

Oh hell, Ed...I know you're only presenting the facts but I was looking for every positive we could have for this CL game!

If you ever watch BSkyB news then you know those complacent bitches Kay Burley and Jacqui Beltrao are Arsenal freaks and they like to laugh at we Italians when we lose to an EPL side, particularly theirs...reason enough for me to want to see our Lupi win even if I wasn't a giallorosso!
