Interesting difference of opinion between Rai and Mediaset re/Cicinho and Motta as to which will play against Genoa on Sunday...

Mediaset has Cicinho available for selection and Motta on the bench whereas Rai sees both with an equal chance. As I've already said, I'm looking forward to seeing Motta playing for Roma, having watched him quite a number of times playing well enough for our Azzurrini. I think he has what it takes to succeed at senior level.

Andrew, that entire area and its people leave a lot to be desired, the neighboring communities of Paisley, Johnstone, Renfrew, Linwood, Inchinnan, etc. It's been my misfortune to have personally discovered that fact...

Spalletti liquida Panucci: "Non mi ha mai chiesto scusa"

Panucci fuori, ora e probabilmente per sempre. Luciano Spalletti non fa sconti e chiude le porte della sua Roma al ribelle difensore savonese: "Ha un problema al tendine rotuleo, ma anche se fosse stato bene non l''avrei chiamato. Christian si e'' comportato in un certo bene e non si e'' scusato ne'' con me ne'' con la societa''".Ma i pensieri del tecnico toscano si concentrano sulla delicatissima sfida di domani contro il Genoa, match chiave per il quarto posto: "Affrontiamo una squadra in condizioni splendide e guidata da un grande allenatore. Il Genoa merita il posto che occupa in classifica, per noi sara'' una gara davvero difficile".

La Roma deve fare a meno di Cassetti, Riise e Menez, ma Spalletti non cerca alibi: "L''organico e'' comunque ampio e di qualita''. Dobbiamo essere in grado di sopperire a qualche assenza".

Here is a direct quote from Spal, in English:

They are strong words from Spalletti. Of course he is right, its all very well writing a letter (which he probably didn't even write in the first place) and sending it to the papers, but apologising in the changing room is where he really needs to do it. I am glad he is left out.

Brighi didn't make Lippi's for the Brazil friendly, which is not surprising at all considering some of the other selections that lunatic has made.
