Yes Maro, I guess there is a lot of infighting and tension and rivalry amongst the bands of hardcore tifosi in Rome, and indeed in the Ultra groups themselves, although perhaps not as much with them as in the past. The chap I was talking too was certainly very bitter about the BOYs and the direction they took, and it could be something like those associated with Il Romanista are of a vastly different view of the clubs management than him and others like him.

Hey Steve, I went to see Mastodon the other night (are you a fan of them?). They were very good. There was a support band on before them who played they're entire set wearing these masks and we (nor no one else in the crowd, it seemed) had no idea who they were until my friend identified two of the three of them as being in Mastodon itself. We later learned they were called Fiend Without A Face, a kinda spin-off 'hillbilly rock' joke band, and were good enough, but nothing compared to the raw power of Mastodon proper.

Bordeaux were playing tonight and beat Valenciennes 2-1:

That website I mentioned is the same Marione Corsi as you were talking about a few days ago, Gio? That is quite a coincidence. I guess he must be quite popular in Rome.

I wonder what the offside boys would be saying had Perrotta missed that chance? We're a bit narrow as ever and just desperately needing that goal to break things up a bit. It's interesting where Perrotta's been playing - he's much narrower down the right, much closer to alongside DDR, really. I suspect this is to try and create a bit of a channel into which Cicinho can run, though it's not really working at the moment and just about everything is coming down the left. I imagine Spags will just tell the boys to play with a higher tempo in the second half and that may be enough to do the trick. Otherwise, I wonder if we'll see Okaka or Monty come on as a true striker to play alongside Totti at some point? Oh, and dibdib, you know we'd be three or four goals to the good already were Cassetti playing.

Happy birthday, Edge. I've told DDR to make sure the boys get a win today and he's promised to dedicate any goals he scores to that perspective-distorting 9'4" Egyptian giant he met earlier in the summer.

Menez has done well and really puts a stop to all this talk of him not settling well in Roma. Had his shot (did it get a slight deflection, I wonder?) after his wonderful run went in and Brighi put away that chance brilliantly created by him then everyone would be hailing him as the new The Bald Algerian (again). He is doing fine, except for perhaps looking for too many fouls as Aba said and bickering with the referee. Chievo themselves, like the donkeys that they are, are bickering with the referee at every opportunity, and we need to stay out of that and let them at and focus on our game and not get involved, and Mexes needs to control that temper and not get stupid yellows for kicking advertisement boards. We're doing alright, we just need a little more determination upfront and the goals should come.
