I started writing this about 7 hours ago. No doubt times moving so swiftly as they do its moment has quite past. I'm sure we'd see Menez behind Baptista and Totti, though, if those three start tomorrow, though presumably Perrotta there and Taddei on the right is actually more likely from Spags, conservative bastard that he is. I'd like to see Menez in there from the start.

Whispers were that the LitM was going to sit on the bench tomorrow anyway - because Menez was on fire at training yesterday and because Spags is looking to give Vooch a little rest before the game on Chewsday. The knock to the knee may just give a bit more momentum to those thoughts.

El Gore is only the foremost spokesman in one kind of way, Populusque. He's the most visible and famous one - foremost in that way - but his celebrity (and hypocrisy) shouldn't be allowed to obscure the fact that there are plenty of eminent scientists who line up on his side in this debate - and that their eminence makes them much more significant, much foremoster [sic] in those sorts of terms than the big mouth, bloody Spanish matador.

That is, of course, quite true, Tonno. That, presumably, will prove the one part of the video with which the Avvocato won't take exception.

Also, was it really reported that Menez did great in training yesterday? IlRomanista, today, has Spalletti saying that Menez has yet to show his value. To me its looking more and more likely that Menez may well be on his way out come January. A loan deal, of course.

Adding to that, most of the questions in the interview were about Menez. From what I read in Spalletti's answers, however, is that he's still not convinced of Menez's value (This is according to my horrible Italian skills).
