Cote is a weird one. I don't think it's a stretch to say he was our most effective player early on last year (for 2-3 games) but like quite a few of the newbies his play tailed off.

Wether that occurred as a result of a hole in his game that allowed opposing teams to stop him, distraction of some kind or unhappiness with the coach/tactics is the question. But he clearly became 2nd string to Rodrigo for a good bit. It could be that LE was overcome by Taddei's effeminate wiles. Certainly wouldn't be the first man to succumb to that siren's song.

I think Angel may come good. Like many players last season he suffered at the extremities of LE's system. He was impressive going forward but showed he was weak at the back, but who didn't sufferer defensively (Lord Daniele excluded)? With a more stable four-man back line which he is comfortable with he may get back to his best which seen him excel at Gijon.

Thats also why I'm a bit sad to see Kjaer go. I liked him, despite his tendency to sporadically shit his bags and deliver a massive brain fart to ruin everyone's happy parade. Did you see Bosingwa play much last season? He was rubbish. He had some very erratic displays and looked very dodgy defending. He's never really got over the injury problems he's suffered which have hampered his mobility and his confidence.
