So the Pescara president says Zeman will definitely be going to Roma, but a bit of his heart will remain in Pescara, and the relationship between them will always be good. He's also adamant that Verratti will stay with them for another year, and that they'll also be keeping hold of Caprari.

Also, Romawi will be delighted, as it looks increasingly that Gago will be staying. Reportedly Real turned down final offer of €2.5m for him, although i'm not sure of that figure. Also, was at the US-Brazil friendly last night. Good game and the second half wasn't that lopsided.

Walked away really impressed with US FB Fabian Johnson. He's a German boy in actuality. But he was really good. Plays for Hoffenheim.
Anyway fits the profile for Roma. Young at 24. Runs for days and an American that Tommy D has wanted.

Really like Bradley too. Excellent pass to setup the only US goal. Not a good fit for ZZ IMO. Would have worked for Montella.

Also Marcelo is an unbelievable player. Watching him live really drove home how good he is. Hes also a massive cnut. Always up in people's faces and complaining.

Roma will score a lot of goals and concede a lot of goals under Zeman next season. And after that we can look for another coach again. He'll stay for 1 year only maybe 2. Not longer.

Good stuff, DCG. Sounds like a great experience. It's pretty striking how much more one can learn about some players when seeing them in the flesh. Sometimes I think Totti's vision makes it look as though he's watching the game from the top of the stand - the way he sees options in a crowd.

yeah, i thought the scoreline flattered brazil, team usa really stepped it up in the second half and were unlucky not to score more. this has to be one of the weakest brazilian team generation of the past 2 or 3 decades.

but marcelo was something else entirely, i still feel he's an enigma of sorts, but he had donovan in his pocket the entire game.

Yeah, that was pretty hilarious. Weird how he got so much time to run around before they finally decided to do something about it though. Seemed like he ran out of ideas and just stood at midfield waiting to be caught after security finally decided to chase him down.
