48 hour deadline for Montella, according to this. Baldini and Sabatini told Montella to free himself from Catania as we've no intention of paying any severance fee.

We've also supposedly reached an agreement with Genoa for Palacio, but it may involve co-ownership of Rosi e Caprari. I like Palacio, he's good and all, but I don't want to lose either of those players to get him.

La Roma ha ribadito la sua posizione e cioè di non avere intenzione di pagare nessuna buonuscita al Catania per liberarlo dall’ulteriore anno di contratto. In buona sostanza, ha chiesto all’Aeroplanino di provare a liberarsi da solo, facendo pressione su Pulvirenti. Ci si aggiornerà in 48 ore (leggi l’indiscrezione di Romanews.eu). Capitolo mercato. Per Rodrigo Palacio siamo ai dettagli. L’accordo è stato trovato. Nella cena di venerdì sera con il Genoa sono state gettate le basi, anche se a Montella (e anche alla società) non piace fino in fondo l’idea di perdere in comproprietà Rosi e Caprari. Ed allora si cercherà un’altra soluzione (Greco?), tenendo conto che la valutazione che Preziosi dà all’attaccante oscilla tra i dieci e i 12 milioni di euro. Ma c’è di mezzo l’Inter.

Also like the move of Juan for that kid. Towards the end of the year I was thinking to myself, "we really need another young S. American attacker and given our abundance of quality central defenders perhaps we can use one in trade."

Turns out Saba and I are in lockstep in our thinking. Should be of great comfort to you all.

Yeh Palacio would defo have to lose that rats tail. With him, Osvaldo and Bojan running around up front we'd have the gayest strike force in the universe. All we'd need is Borriello back.

Not a fan of losing Juan, I'd like to see him stay for one more season (like he's often said he wants to do). Some here that Heinze may also be leaving to go back to Argentina to hopefully die or something.

Borriello already came out and said only way he'd agree to go back to Roma is if they emulated Juve's color pattern on The away jersey.

you guys should go for torres. he won't be cheap, but i think it's plausible for less than 30m and i think he'd fit well with totti.

Jasus, we don't need any new strikers. In fact we probably have to offload some, especially if Borriello (and Okaka) return. The mercato isn't yet properly upon us and I'm already tired of all the rumours of forwards we're linked with. Even Palacio – who is a good player no doubt – is not needed. We need defenders.

not sure about fitting well with totti, but i think suarez, who we've constantly been linked with, would be a good addition. he'd be relatively cheap - around 30m - since we're tight with liverpooI now. and to be honest carragher wouldn't be a bad replacement for the departing heinze either.

it wasn't a joke. i think i've read at least 3 articles seriously linking us to suarez. you posted the link to the report mentioning heinze's exit yourself, and carragher seems like a somewhat similar player - an experienced leader who could offer us more options at the back, even if he doesn't start; once again, since liverpooI are our buddies now, it could work out.

We don't need a 30 mill striker of any kind. I'd liken that to some of those fools who drive a piece of chit car with 5k rims on it.

How about we find the Mister. Then decide what tactics he will employ.

Whomever it is, do you think he will spend 30 mill taking Lamela or Borini or Ozvaldo or Bojan off the field?

I'd rather take Heinze AND Juan AND Sexy Legs AND Rosi off the pitch. We do not have 30 mill to spend on any one player.
