i think he's at 130+ assists in the league, too. its hard to find the statistics, but i'm willing to bet that not a single one of those three players will have that many.

this while not even playing as a forward for the majority of his career (and having some pretty bad injuries). i can't help but wonder how many he'd have notched up by now if he had played as close to the goal for his entire career as he did for spalletti.

According to some report in Spain we've already reached an agreement with Real for €6m for Gago, and we're just waiting to announce it. €6m isn't a bad price for him, he can be a useful player for us. Although his performances lately have been poor I think, particularly when playing in that defensive-midfield role when DDR has been at centre-back, which is surprising when you would think that is the ideal role for him.

Era uno dei grandi punti interrogativi del mercato della Roma ma la sua buona stagione ha convinto i dirigenti giallorossi. Fernando Gago è ad un passo dalla conferma in maglia giallorossa. Il centrocampista argentino, attualmente ancora di proprietà del Real Madrid, era arrivato in prestito nel corso della sessione estiva di mercato, suscitando diversi dubbi.

Erano in molti infatti a dubitare della condizione fisica del calciatore, reduce da una stagione dove aveva disputato una manciata di partite, quasi mai da titolare, a causa di un lungo stop per infortunio. Le sue prestazioni però, hanno convinto sia la piazza che i dirigenti giallorossi.

Secondo il sito spagnolo "Fichajes.Net", la Roma avrebbe già trovato l'accordo con il Real Madrid per il trasferimento definitivo nella Capitale a fronte di un offerta che si aggira intorno ai 6 milioni di euro. Per il riscatto del centrocampista ormai, sembrerebbe mancare solo l'ufficialità.

i think we got ourselves someone that's as close to being the new perrotta as it gets, this winter. his runs seem to be just as good as perrotta's, his work-rate probably also just as good and his finishing just as shite.

If you're referring to Marquinho his verticle runs are similiar. Simone worked much harder for the team and was a different class tactically.

I see what you are saying. I think that Marquinho is more similiar to Simplicio in that he is moving a lot. His runs help stir a rather stagnant Paella at times.

I think that there is a difference between working hard and physical workrate. I think Pjanic and Gago both do their part. Pjanic isn't a runner he beats you with passing and vision. Too bad I don't see Marq and Pjanic as compatible in this setup as they both have defensive deficiencies.

I was very drunk in a bar just a stone's throw from that mural last night. Can't speak for the Boys, but the crowd in the Testaccio club are great guys and very friendly.
