Now you're onto something. I suppose the one thing that's guaranteed with Moaninho in charge is an open game full of goals. In hockey there used to be a rule in competition matches that if the game was tied, then the team who'd won the higher number of 'penalty corners' would go through. I can just imagine Moaninho's tactics were such a rule introduced to football - he'd tell his players to smash the ball off an opposition player from the opening kick-off and then to try and hang on to the 1-0 corners lead for the remaining 89 minutes.

Yeah but Mourinho always prepares specific tactics for each game. If its a game with Torino, we should hang on to a goal advantage, same against the likes of Catania, Reggina & Bologna. Against the likes of Roma, he'd be happy to have a tie, as long as there are penalty shoot-outs to solve the tie, with Totti kicking the 5th.
On the other hand, Spalletti is just content of not playing games in the UK.

Right at the moment I think it's probably the games played in Italy that Spags would most like to avoid.

Guess who will be at that game? Maro...? No. Me...? Yes. I was hoping to get over to see a game again this year but it was looking like I wouldn't be able to get time off from work (new job and all), but I've managed to swing it. Heading to Rome on November 29 and back on December 2. I was at the same fixture two seasons ago but I don't mind seeing Fiorentina again, they're not a bad side, and are looking like strong competition for us this season. I was thinking about heading over for the Derby on November 16 but thought against it for the welfare of the little lady. Hey Aba, what game(s) are you going over for, or did you get that sorted?

Can anyone recommend a good hotel in the city centre (near the Trevi, Campo de Fiori, Navona etc.)? I mean like a quality 3/4/5 star hotel? I was checking out prices and its all fairly cheap considering the time of the year so thinking of staying somewhere a bit more on the plush side, sure fuck it why not like.
