More on the potential site for a new stadio, ForzaRoma are saying the tifosi would prefer Tor Vergata:
I like Collies idea of buying and redeveloping the Stadio Flaminio. There'd probably be a lot of politics and bullshit involved in the whole process, but it would be a very good site.
AS Roma SpA has awarded the contract as exclusive advisors in their search for an area in Rome to construct their new stadium to Cushman & Wakefield LLP(*), the global real estate consultants.

Or we could just allow the Dutchie to play sweeper and go on bombing runs. Positive thought will keep the ball out of the net.
The Flaminio thing would never happen, btw, ever. Aside from a million other issues I could imagine involving CONI and the commune being difficult, the connection to Pier Luigi Nervi means that there is resistance to even putting in the aforementioned toilets, never mind selling it to an organisation that would modernise it all to actually use it for its intended purpose and ensure its continued existence. Still, one can dream.
Tor Vergata is bleedin' miles away too, but it's better than Aurelia.
A 38 anni mi metto in gioco".
This is incredible. Zamparini is a clown. But I have a strange feeling Panucci might do well, though perhaps not in Sicily. He is said to be very intelligent, and he's the only person Fabio Capello claims to be friends with in football. But even he admits Panucci is crazy. Zamparini vs Panucci after a couple of defeats sounds like an interesting argument. A cock and a hard-case.
Ha that's funny. In a sad I just spilled my milk down my bib kinda way. I wonder what Lobant had to say about giving up his number one jersey? Thats kinda taking the mickey a bit. Going to train at the 'Walt Disney World Resort' in winter is a bit fuckin weird, sure they don't really do any extra training over the winter period do they?
Match tonight, senza Il Capitano and Pjanic. Stek is in.

FORMAZIONI UFFICIALI

Thanks for that, Bagg. I think we can all say we feel the same way.
So, any thoughts on the game yesterday? It was quite a poor performance overall. We looked great at times and are able to put some lovely moves together but its not really getting us anywhere if can't keep it up for more than a few periods of play. Its hard to really pinpoint the problem or why we're unable to put a lasting performance in, I doubt even LE and his staff know. Too often we looked nervous and unsure of what to do, particularly moving the ball out from the back. I like all the midfielders we have, but I don't think we have the quality in that department which this system really demands. At least LE said afterward he was very unhappy with the performance and how the game went after the goal.
Greco impressed me in midfield, I thought he had a very fine game indeed and took up a lot of the playmaking duties in the centre. DDR and Gago weren't great. Kjaer had a solid game at the back. Nothing spectacular, he just didn't make any major brainfarts (and was fortunate that his man Palacios didn't get on the scoresheet).
We started off well and looked in complete control, I thought at that point we'd go on to get a comfortable win, given the state of Genoa's recent away record too. But we didn't keep up the same intensity and towards the end of the first half, the warning signs were there and you could see Genoa's confidence, which must have been non-existant initially, starting to grow.
The second half seems a bit of a blur looking back on it, nothing much happened at all! I thought Bojan did well when he came on (despite one glaring miss), Frey made a good save from Lamela, and we're lucky Palacio didn't keep his shot down AND we weren't playing a slightly better team, as they would have probably capitalised on our generally poor second half performance and maybe got a point.
But still, two clean sheets on the spin which is good after some previous horror shows at Atalanta and Cagliari recently. Although that said, I'm not looking forward to Milan away this weekend!
