Sounds like a good trip, Vince, some good games. Not much else to see in Turin, though? I'm going in December, had planned it to see the Juve game that weekend, but they switched that game to the Monday night, the bastards. Ill have to adjust me flights, me thinks.

Di Benedetto will get the same salary as Rosella: over a mil a year, plus all expenses (flights to and from the States must add up). Other members of the board will also receive a generous salary. Also rumours of Chinese investors interested in 20% of UniCredit's 40% of Roma, if I'm reading it right:

I couldn't see the game b/c I was working, but it ended as I'd imagined it would...and such a solid chance to really show that we are a contender this year...

Cool video about Eriksen, David. Any idea what he says when asked about the scarf? Something like "I like Totti, he's my idol" or somesuch? Did he also say he's a Roma fan, or was more that he just had the scarf cos he likes Totti kind of thing? He would be some signing to pick up for free, but I'd imagine there'd be a fuck load of clubs trying to snap him up, so it if he is really a Roma fan or not could have a large bearing on it.

Disappointing result. I thought the performance in the first-half was quite good. We were positive and looked sharp and moved the ball a little faster than previous games, with our forwards making some good runs and linking up well. It was a little different as we didn't keep the ball and play the possession game as much as usual, but without Totti and Pizza that was always going to be an issue. Pjanic done well at trequartista, but its a very hard position to be asked to step up and play in this system. The amount of work and training that is required to fill these roles must be huge. Rosi's injury was disappointing for him, but I thought Cassetti done well when he came in, even if he lost the ball a few times toward the end.

Obviously the red card cost us dear. I like Kjaer, he is my type of defender: heart on sleeve, no nonsense cruncher in the tackle, but like I've maintained from the start he still has a lot to learn and is still quite raw, and as we seen fairly often this season, is prone to the odd lack of concentration and silly brain-farts. Heinze done well last night in fairness to him, he made some good tackles and was out in front a lot, but he's certainly not the long-term solution to our defence, and no one needs reminding that he's no stranger to brain-farts himself. I can't see a Heinze-Kjaer partnership being too successful. Hopefully we see Juan come back into the fold now. With Kjaer out for 3 games he will have too, anyway, but I'd like to see him come back into the first 11.

Was not near a computer during the game. As always, it's disappointing to lose the derby, especially on a last second goal. I liked some of what I saw in the beginning of the match, but we seemed to lose control as time went on. Had we kept 11 men on the field, and had Pizarro been fully fit, then I think we would have seen a different result.

Bojan was great. Pjanic showed some flashes but could have done much better to take control of the game, especially in the second half when we needed to gain more possession. Jose Angel didn't get forward like he usually does, and made some poor passes when he got the ball. So, some good moments and some bad moments, but I wasn't expecting anything else from this Roma team right now.
