I've just gone and made a really dumb mistake.. i booked my time in room from the 5th of sept till the 16th of Sept.. and the fixtures have been released... and i ttoally forgot about the itnernational break.. and ot make thigs worse.. the only game in this time period is Roma vs Palermo in Sicily.

Ugghhh.. im thinking of delaying or making my flight earlier... possibly in time to catch the seaosn opener against Napoli.... jeez.. its gonna cost a bucketload to change an online ticket :@

dibdib, why don't you just cut your losses and come to the friendly at White Hart Lane with me and the moglie. You know the atmosphere at these preseason friendlies in London beats the hell out of anything you can get in Rome.

I think they have a few contingencies that they are working on. I agree it would have been nice if the contingency planning was further developed so Spalletti doesn't have to miss them in ritiro. I guess I have lowered my expectations over the years (unfortunately) but although I am currently very frustrated with the mercato this summer, I am cutting them some slack because of how the whole Mutu fiasco unfolded. Now if we don't have two QUALITY players 3-4 weeks from now (a very possible if not likely scenario), I'll be pissed at the dynamic duo again.

Borriello really bothers me for some reason...I have no interest in him whatsoever.

Ita I couldn't agree more about how our management botched the Mutu signing...at the end of the day, they spent much effort/time working on getting him to Roma but failed to do so...how can that be seen as anything but a failure? Gentlemen, please stop making excuses for a management that is useless when it comes to expediting transfers.

If I could pick any two players of the ones we've been linked with I'd have to say Silva 100% and Podolski...since that isn't going to happen at all, I'd take Silva and Crespo.....Van der Vaart would be fun but where he would line up I don't know.....Baptista is NOT coming here unless Spaletti makes a massive formation change....

Cardaccio Closer To Roma Move
According to the Uruguayan press AS Roma are closing in on highly-rated Nacional of Montevideo midfielder Mathias Cardaccio...

AS Roma have been searching for a classy youngster to reinforce their midfield next season, and Mathias Cardaccio could well be their man.

The Uruguayan international was in sensational form for Nacional last season, and played a key role for the club in the Copa Libertadores earlier in the year.

Cardaccio, 20, is currently in the Italian capital with his agent, and former Roma striker Daniel Fonseca. Apparently Fonseca recommended the player to the club, and a deal could be announced by the end of the week.

In recent months SS Lazio have been tracking the midfielder as well, but it seems that he will finally join their eternal rivals. Roma are expected to offer the player a five-year contract.

Other clubs who have shown an interest in the player include Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Udinese.

Can't seem to find any info about the guy, edge. Nothing on youtube, except a goal he scored in the Libertadores. Seems to me like a prospect buy. If we do get him, then I don't he will stay with us for this season.
