Sarebbe questa la soluzione trovata per il piano di ristrutturazione della holding della famiglia Sensi secondo quanto scrive oggi il Messaggero. La firma sarebbe dovuta arrivare oggi, ma slittera’ per alcuni dettagli alla prossima settimana. Dovra’ comunque arrivare in tempo per dare alla societa’ di revisione PricewaterhouseCoopers la possibilita’ di certificare il bilancio della holding.

I Sensi dunque rimborseranno 340 milioni dei 380 milioni di debiti accumulati nei confronti delle banche. Negli accordi e’ previsto che entro la fine del 2010 Italpetroli restituisca 250 milioni di euro di debiti alle banche. Per rastrellare questa somma il gruppo si impegna a vendere asset compresa la As Roma. Una scelta dunque messa nera su bianco ma da realizzare in circa due anni e mezzo. Il piano originario era stato approntato a dicembre, ma la trattativa con George Soros lo aveva fatto slittare. Venuta meno l’operazione Soros, i Sensi e Unicredit avrebbero ripreso a negoziare l’accordo cercando di contemperare i vari interessi: quello prioritario del creditore Unicredit era di poter rientrare dei soldi prestati il prima possibile ma senza mettere con le spalle al muro la famiglia Sensi, “come pure sarebbe stato facile fare visto che il gruppo e’ inadempiente da tempo ai propri impegniâ€

E' arrivato il giorno di Mirko Vucinic. Dopo l'accordo di massima raggiunto martedì 10, sulla base di 10 mln di euro, oggi a Trigoria la Roma dovrebbe ufficializzare il riscatto della seconda metà del cartellino dell'attaccante montenegrino. Nella trattativa rientrerà anche Stefano Okaka. Pradè potrebbe così chiudere l'affare con 8,5 mln più la metà del cartellino di Okaka.

Maro and Shield, a businessman be he Italian, foreign, or extraterrestial, is precisely what this club needs (yes, he should be a fan too). Maro, you "would rather the club bring in a player like Riise, an acquisition carefully weighed in response to the needs of the team and the availabilities of the market, than that it brought in Shevchenko or Ballack just because they were big names on which the chairman had a disconcerting man-crush" that's fine by me. A discerning businessman would think along those terms too. Playboys like Abromivich have the luxury of such man-crushes. Businessmen with an eye on the club's onfield success coupled with brand health do not. Foreign money does not necessarily equal stupid money. I repeat, my argument is not that Roma "sell out to johnny foreigner [with] the promise of money and star players" for "the easy answer." Instead, Roma needs to be run like a proper business. That is all that I ask.

maro, there was a brilliant picture at the old romanews last summer of a guy perched in a tree with a camera focused on Trigoria...taken by another guy in the tree. Their stalkerazzi are second to none.

Can anyone tell the details of the deal?

Edge, the piece on romanews was suggesting that it's a straight-up cash deal of 12mil which is interesting. It's plenty of dosh on the young fella, but better, I think, than the whispers of deals involving Okaka or another of our kids. Okaka may well still go there, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if this deal has been settled in such a simple way.

Chris, yeah, I remember that photo. It was quality. The Romanisti are truly mad. I'm glad I'm the one exception who's sane.

Grasso, I hear you, of course. All I really want, then, is for the new owner to be 'you' rather than Soreass. I'd like it to be a fan bringing business acumen to the table rather than a businessman for whom, finally, success on the field is actually just a necessary means to an end, if you see what I mean. I would rather you were in charge than Rosella, but I'd prefer Rosella to Soreass. Running the club better for the sake of the club is perfect; running the club better so that more profit can be made from it makes me more nervous.

Italpetroli alone to decide on AS Roma sale

MILAN, June 20 (Reuters) - AS Roma's majority owner Italpetroli will alone decide whether to sell the soccer club to cover debts, holding company Italpetroli said on Friday, after a newspaper reported it had agreed a sale with creditor UniCredit.

"It will be (Italpetroli) exclusively to decide if the controlling stake in AS Roma is among the assets to use" for reducing debt owed to UniCredit, it said in a statement.
Italpetroli, which holds 67 percent of the Serie A soccer club, is owned by the Sensi family with a 51 percent stake.

UniCredit owns the remaining 49 percent and has an option to increase that by 2 percent under the terms of a loan to the Sensi family of 340 million euros ($528 million).
Il Messaggero newspaper reported on Friday the family had 2-1/2 years to sell the soccer club under the terms of the agreement.

Earlier this month, billionaire financier George Soros said he was not interested in Roma after shares had gyrated on speculation his Inner Circle Sports Investment firm might buy it.

Italpetroli confirmed in April it had held exploratory talks with Soros's firm but has repeatedly denied receiving any expressions of interest for the Italian Cup winners.

Rome prosecutors have opened a probe into the share price's sharp swings. On Friday, the shares were down 4.49 percent to 0.99 euros, giving the company a total market capitalisation of about 138 million euros.
