Mirko Vucinic expresses delight with transfer from Roma to Juventus

Mirko Vucinic has voiced his happiness with his transfer to Juventus after leaving Roma behind for a new challenge after five seasons at Stadio Olimpico.

The attacker was deemed surplus to requirements in the Italian capital by new Roma coach Luis Enrique and completed his 15 million euro move to the Turin giants on Monday afternoon.

"I'm both excited and happy to be playing for Juventus. Roma was in my heart, but it's over now. I'm very happy to have moved to Juventus," Vucinic was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

The 27-year-old forward then went on to discuss his preferred position and underlined his versatility as he's ready to play in every position where head coach Antonio Conte needs him.

"I can play as a lone striker or as a support striker, while I can also act as winger. I just need to have a chance to get on the pitch. If Conte wants me to play in another position, I'm more than happy to do just that."

The attacker could make his competitive Juventus debut in the Serie A opener away to Udinese on August 28.

Aquilani would be, on the face of it, a perfect fit for LE's system (of what we can tell of it thus far, anyway). He does seem to have desires to make some changes in there, so it'll be interesting to see what develops.

Seriously, though, if the good Lord were to offer you the guarantee of Roma winning the Scudetto next season, but only on the condition that Liverpuke would also win the Premiershite, there's no way that you'd take that deal. Your anti-Puke sentiment is clearly stronger than your pro-Roma one.

Actually, April 2008 was the first leg of the Roma-Manure game, the one we lost 2-0, but I saw the 1-0 defeat at the Emirates the following year too.
