hey ita, i have a question for you. i don't know if it's your area of practice, but it's just out of curiosity.
i have heard of a company in the u.s. who practice the following method of employee time control: once in a while, they leave a form on an employee's desk that reads "Unless you sign and return this form to ______ by the end of the day, we will assume that you have resigned your position." if it is not signed and returned, the employee is released. my question is this: is it legal for a company to "assume that you have resigned from your position", or are they opening themselves up to a lawsuit?

John Arne Riise. You have got to be fucking kidding me. If we do sign him, I state right here and now I will never cheer for him or never wish him well, even if he were in a position to score an injury-time winner in the CL final in Rome next season. The mere thought of a former 'fuckingwankingscum player – even be it a top player like Torres or Mascherano, nevermind a fuckin poxy ginger Norwegian OG tosser who is being forced out of the Kip [sic] – in a glorious giallorossi maglia is enough for me to puke shit. Fuck that. The only hope is that all this Riise talk is coming from the one source in england, The Daily Express, and so I'm praying its all bullshit.
We are being slow on the transfer front, all the same. I have to say I do enjoy the all-round mercato madness once its kicked in. Regardless of the Sorass or Taco-talk, its possible that this summer could be an even more drawn out and tiresome affair than usual on the mercato front for Roma. With take-over talk still simmering, and the Sensi's financial difficulties elsewhere, you can't imagine we'd be fulfilling Spalletti's wishes of Eto and Zambrotta, or players of that calibre, anyway. Totti now is getting in on the act and voicing his opinions of seeing our rivals strengthen and all that. It is Roma (Sensi's Roma), and sure we all know the craic at this stage, anyway. Endless rumors and in the end some adequate singings with just about enough to satisfy Spalletti (but would he ever say otherwise?) and all dragged out until the last second and done with bare minimum cost to us now. Do we expect it to be any different? Or should we?
On another note, great to see Bologna back in the big time. Always thought them to a good club with some very nice players down through the years, and it'll be good to see 35,000+ in the Dall'Ara next season.
