I had a great night watching the game on TV here. Everything I was hoping for happened.
We really showed some beautiful football with one touch passing and proved that we were and are the best team to watch in SerieA. A lack of finishing at times as usual but what a great performance. Mexes has done a great match as well as Juan. I like Pizzaro more and more and Vucinic is really playing intelligently...A real LITM!!!
I feel this game is honestly encouraging...we do not know what will happen in the next few days and during the summer but we dont need to buy so many new signings. 3 or 4 very good players would be great and enable us to be competitive next season. We have such a great base and I hope we will keep Vucinic, Aquilani and focus on bringing in a real world class striker. That s what we need. Can't wait to see the future in giallorossi...but for now let's enjoy this win.

Jesus, was it just me or did The LitM get two yellow-cards yet stayed on the field........................???!!!

WTF, The LitM is now batin around the running track in one of those injury-golf-buggies with the cup in one hand and the other on the wheel with a couple of the boys clinging on in the back, no messin, and is that a can a Bulmers he's swingin out of!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good win.. not spectacular.. but encoruaging. God Bless Mexes... He's one of my most favorite players in the team.. and he has been for a while. Must be something in the water in Toulouse.. we seem to have a healthy Roma following from the small villages around there correct Frenchesco?

To bad GolTV cut off the feed right before the lap of honor.. Shieldy.. i want a link for the celebs asap big boy. Last year it came on Youtube the same night... so here's hoping for the same.

Mexes and Juan were great tonight... really great.. and what a fucking screamer by Pele! As far as I'm concerned, the only downer was playing "We are the Champions"... uuuggghhh... i hate that tune!! I was hoping for a few Grazie Roma's or Mai Solo Mai's or Roma Roma Roma's....

Sorry Aba looks like its over now. Jesus fecking Christ almighty that was the funniest fucking thing I've seen in a long time. There's some interviews going on and its all very grand and serious and then next of all you see this injury cart really ripping it by in the background so the camera cuts that interview short and follows the cart, and you can see Mirko in the driver seat, still holding the Cup in one hand, and Taddei and Aquilani and one or two others hanging on in the back, ripping it around the running track! Jesus I gotta see that again. It was fuckin mad LMAAAAAOOOOOO!!!

Spalletti Delighted With Coppa Victory

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti is delighted with his side's 2-1 victory in the Coppa Italia final against Inter.

Philippe Mexes gave the Giallorossi the lead just before half time with Simone Perrotta adding a second on 54 minutes. Pele cut the deficit when he replied for the Nerazzurri but it was not enough as Roma held on to win the Coppa for the second time in as many years.

Spalletti was visibly delighted and he was full of praise for his players.

"The players fought right until the end and both teams were really good," Spalletti told Rai Uno.

"This trophy means that we are working in the right ways and that the club believes in its project.

"We have been doing really well and so it's good that we manage to lift a trophy every so often.

"Is there a confrontation between us and Inter? These games determine plenty. Both teams have shown their values over the course of the season and they deserve nights like these."

[b]The coach also had a few words over the potential take over of the club by the Soros organisation.

"As for the future of the club, I need to improve my English I think," said the coach, refering to a possible American take over. [/b]

The Giallorossi thus managed to stop the Nerazzurri's march for the double and they will be hoping they win the Scudetto next season after coming so close to it this term.
