Sure. Much better. I was actually having a dig at the wild run of transfer rumours rather than at Davit's projected formation. The rumour mill is so tedious - worse than ever. I know that some people will find it exciting speculating about what might be; I'm not interested at all. Let's see where we're at when the season begins. The run of stories and counterstories on forzaroma et. al. every morning at the moment is just depressing.

so carrying this over from the offside - i'm wondering if pastore came, would he play as the "messi", (i.e. drifting back and working with the midfield, almost as a treq), which would mean no wingers (since Totti can't play on the wing and our project is "centerred" around him) but a striker duet of Totti and perhaps Bojan/Vooch upfront ahead of him, or as the "iniesta" with a regular 3 up front with two wingers and totti in the middle?

Pastore is an attacking midfielder – a trequartista if you like – but he can also comfortably play in a midfield three, which is how I'd see him with us. Brighi – DDR – Pastore, for example.

As soon as Rossi returned to Palermo he played Pastore in a deeper role and described him as a "regista del tutto campo" (is that grammatically correct?). That, to my mind, is his most natural role - one where he has to work harder defensively but can also be constantly involved in the play. Hence if Pastore no Pizza, for example. This is where he played for Argentina at the World Cup, so far as I could tell, and is where I would play him.

Yeh, no Pizza party if Pastore proclaims per lupi. But he wouldn't be a bad alternative to have coming off the bench.
