FT: Bayern Munich 4-0 Hertha Berlin

Bayern Munich thrashed Hertha Berlin 4-0 at the Allianz Arena. Mario Gomez opened the scoring 5 minutes in when Gomez latched onto Franck Ribery's through ball, beat Andre Mijatovic and drilled a low shot into the bottom corner. A couple of minutes later, it was 2-0. Jerome Boateng advanced forward and pulled the ball back for Ribery to slot the ball home from close range. After 15 minutes, it was 3-0. Franck Ribery got past his man, played the ball to Bastian Schweinsteiger who then unleashed a low shot into the bottom corner past former teammate Thomas Kraft. With 20 minutes to go, Bayern were awarded a penalty when Franck Ribery was fouled by Roman Hubnik. Gomez converted the penalty to get his 10th goal of the season.

FT: Zenit St Petersburg 0-0 Dinamo Moscow

The match between 1st and 3rd finished goalless at Petrovsky. Zenit and Dinamo are now on 54 and 51 points respectively. CSKA Moscow threw away a two goal lead against Terek Grozny to draw. CSKA remain in 2nd with 52 points.

FT: Real Madrid 4-1 Real Betis

Real Madrid scored an emphatic win over Real Betis at the Bernabeu. After a lacklustre first half, Real Madrid broke the deadlock in the opening minute of the 2nd half. Cristian Ronaldo was palyed through by Marcelo, Ronaldo then advanced towards goal and sqaured the ball for Gonzalo Higuain to tap the ball home. It was 2-0 on the hour mark when Kaka scored with a good finish. With 20 minutes to go, Real Betis pulled a goal back when Ruben Castro battled hsi way into the box and the loose ball fell to Jorge Molina to stroke the ball home. A minute later, Higuain restored Madrid's two goal lead. Angel Di Maria played a superb through ball for Higuain who took one touch to take the ball away from the keeper and then roll the ball into the unguarded net. Higuain completed his hat trick 5 minutes later with a superb chip over Casto.

FT: Ajax 2-2 AZ Alkmaar

AZ Alkmaar remain top of the table despite throwing away a two goal lead at Ajax. Ajax remain 4th. AZ took the lead 15 minutes in. A Brett Holman shot took a deflection off Jan Vertonghen and found the bottom corner leaving Kenneth Vermeer with no chance. 20 minutes on the clock and it was 2-0. A quick counter saw Brett Holman play the ball towards Roy Beerens who exquisitely lobbed Vermeer. Ajax had chances before half time with Siem de Jong and Derk Boerrigter having chances rebounding back off the bar. 2 minutes into the 2nd half, Ajax were awarded a penalty after Dirk Marcellis brought down Boerrigter with Miralem Sulejmani converting the penalty. Theo Janssen equalsied with 10 minutes to go with a powerful drive. Ajax finished with 10 men when Eyong Enoh was shown a 2nd yellow.

FT: Barcelona 3-0 Racing Santander

A Lionel Messi inspired Barcelona dispatched three goals past Racing at Camp Nou. Barcelona remain a point ahead of Real Madrid while Racing languish in the relegation zone searching for their first win. Barcelona broke the deadlock 10 minutes in. Messi played Andres Iniesta through down the right with Iniesta returning a great pass for Messi to burst between two defenders, dummied Tono and rolled the ball into the empty net. On the half hour mark, Barca doubled their lead. Pedro swung in a cross for the unmarked Xavi to head home. Barca made it 3 with 20 minutes to go. A sublime piece of skill by Andres Iniesta saw him turn, unleash a shot which cannoned off the post and Lionel Messi was on hand to lash home the rebound.

FT: Milan 3-0 Palermo

Milan scored a convincing victory over Palermo at San Siro. Milan started the brightest with Robinho going close to breaking the deadlock several minutes before half time. Robinho's initial shot was blocked by Alexandros Tzorvas but the follow up somehow was blocked by Tzorvas and went out for a corner. Minutes later, Milan broke the deadlock. Zlatan Ibrahimovic's cross was headed on by Alberto Aquilani for Antonio Nocerino to score through a diving header. Just before the hour mark, Ibrahimovic played a nice ball for Robinho to drive the ball past Tzorvas to double the lead. 5 minutes later, Ibrahimovic had the chance to get on the scoresheet but he diverted Antonio Cassano's cross narowly over. However, with 20 minutes to go, Cassano fired home an Ignazio Abate cross to make it 3-0.

FT: Nice 3-0 Bordeaux

Bordeaux suffered a heavy defeat at Nice tonight. With this result, Nice got their second win of the campaign. Nice broke the deadlock 10 minutes in. Renato Civelli headed the ball down for Eric Mouloungui to chest the ball down and fire a low drive beyond Cedric Carrasso. On the half hour mark, Bordeaux had the chance to equalise but Yoan Gouffran fired the ball wide. With 10 minutes to go in the 1st half, Nice doubled their lead. A quick counter saw Camel Meriem flick the ball on for David Hellebuyck to finish past Carrasso. Francois Clerc made it 3-0 with 25 minutes to go with a close range finish after Bordeaux had started the better of the 2nd half.

FT: Granada 0-0 Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid are still looking for their first away win of the season after being held to a 0-0 at Granada. 5 minutes in, Granada were unfortunate not to be in front. Ikechukwu Uche's header rebounding back off the post with Thibaut Courtois rooted. On the 20 minute mark, Dani Benitez wasted a brilliant chance when he was 1-on-1 with Courtois but his chip went horribly wide. With 10 minutes to go in the first half, Guilherme Siqueira had a goalbound effort blocked by Filipe Luis. The 2nd half produced few chances with Adrian Lopez wasting a good opportunity when in a good position.

FT: PSV Eindhoven 1-0 Utrecht

PSV closed the gap to AZ Alkmaar at the top to 2 points. Ola Toivonen scored the winner with 20 minutes to go as he curled a shot from range past Rob van Dijk.

FT: Cesena 0-0 Fiorentina

Cesena were held to a draw at the Dino Manuzzi by Fiorentina and Cesena are still searching for their first win of the season. Fiorentina should have took the lead 15 minutes in when Cesare Natali flicked on a corner towards the far post where Alessandro Gamberini inexplicably fired over from a yard out. On the 20 minute mark, the crossbar denied a Roberto Guana thunderbolt. 10 minutes into the 2nd half, the crossbar came to Fiorentina's rescue once again when Antonio Candreva's deflected shot came off the crossbar with Artur Boruc beaten. Cesena finished the match with 10 men when Adrian Mutu lashed out at Manuel Pasqual when being tugged back.

FT: Chievo 0-0 Juventus

Chievo held Juventus to a goalless draw at the Bentegodi. The first chance of the game came on the 10 minute mark with Sergio Pellissier's freekick went through the Juventus wall wich Gianlugi Buffon had to smother at the 2nd attempt. 5 minutes into the 2nd half, Claudio Marchisio had a 20 yard drive flash just wide of the post. The best chance of the game came 15 minutes from time when the unmarked Alessandro The Waterboy headed Simone Pepe's cross onto the post with Stefano Sorrentino beaten. Juventus remain top of the table.

FT: Rubin Kazan 3-0 Spartak Moscow

Rubin Kazan trounced Spartak at the Central to book their place in the top 8 split. After a goalless first half, Rubin took the lead 10 minutes into the 2nd half through Christian Noboa. 5 minutes later, Alexander Ryazantsev made it 2-0. THings got worse for Spartak Moscow when Emmanuel Emenike was sent off. In the final minute, Bebars Natcho put the icing on the cake to give Rubin a massive victory.

FT: Freiburg 1-2 Hamburg

Hamburg were victorious away at Freiburg but still remain bottom on goal difference. Heung Min Son headed Hamburg into the lead 10 minutes in but 2 minutes into the 2nd half, Slobodan Rajkovic misjudged a cross allowing Papiss Demba Cisse to equalise. With 15 minutes to go, Ivo Ilicevic put Hamburg ahead after nice link up play with Gokhan Tore. Hamburg conceded a penalty late on but Papiss Demba Cisse could not convert.

FT: Cologne 2-0 Hannover

Hannover had the chance to go 2nd this afternoon but fell to a brace of goals from Lukas Podolski. The win noves Cologne upto mid table while Hannover remain 7th. Podolski broke the deadlock on 25 minutes with a superb 25 yard freekick which left Ron Robert Zieler with no chance. 10 minutes later, Michael Rensing did well to tip a Christian Schulz header over. 5 minutes into the 2nd half, Sergio Pinto was unfortuante not to equalise when his effort hit the top of the bar. Adil Chihi went close to doubling the lead on the hour mark but his header came back off the bar. Sergio Pinto throught he had equalised with 20 minutes to go but it was ruled out for offside with Didider Ya Konan adjudged to have been offisde. With 5 minutes to go, Podolski advanced into the area and fired a powerful shot into the top corner.

FT: Lazio 2-1 Roma

A late, late goal from Miroslav Klose saw Lazio defeat Roma in the Rome derby. The win moves Lazio upto 4th. Roma took the lead after just 5 minutes. Miralem Pjanic fed the ball to Pablo Osvaldo in the box for him to bring the ball down and sidefoot the ball past Federico Marchetti. 5 minutes into the 2nd half, Lazio weere awarded a penalty when Simon Kjaer brought down Cristian Brocchi. Kjaer was shown a red card and Hernanes converted the penalty to equalise. With 20 minutes to go, Miroslav Klose managed to get his head to Cristian Ledesma's corner but his effort came back off the crossbar. Then deep into stoppage time, Matuzalem played the ball into the area for Klose to fire the ball past Maarten Stekelenburg.

FT: Rennes 2-0 Lorient

Rennes moved upto 5th tonight after victory in the Brittany derby. Jires Kembo-Ekoko broke the deadlock on 10 minutes with a brilliant freekick. Victor Hugo Montano would have been in for a 2nd goal minutes later if Fabien Audard didnt intercept Kembo Ekoko's through ball. On the 15 minute mark, Kembo Ekoko went close with another freekick. 10 minutes before half time, Jonathan Pitroipa made his way into the area from a quick counter but he fluffed his lines. Just past the hour mark, Rennes were awarded a penalty when Kembo Ekoko was brought down by Arnaud Le Lan. Jonathan Pitroipa dispatched the penalty.

FT: Sevilla 2-1 Sporting Gijon

Sevilla moved upto 4th after victry over Sporting. Sporting are still searching for their first win of the season and Manuel Preciado is under pressure. 15 minutes on the clock and Sevilla broke the deadlock through a stunning strike by Manu. Sevilla doubled their lead 10 minutes into the 2nd half. Ivan Rakitic whipped in a freekick which Julien Escude nodded onto the bar but Martin Caceres headed home the rebound. With 25 minutes to go, Sporting pulled a goal back. Miguel de las Cuevas made his way down the right, swung a low ball cross for David Barral to turn past Javi Varas. Sporting pushed for the equaliser and nearly found it but Javi Varas superbly kept out Alberto Botia's volley.
